Austen Bohmer

AUSTEN BOHMER is thrilled to call Fyra her yoga home. She started as an EE in 2021, joined the staff at the desk in 2023, and is now honored to guide your time on the mat. As an actor, Austen has appeared on Broadway, on screen, and at theaters across the country. She recently spent a year on the road playing Glinda in Wicked. As a teaching artist, Austen is one of Arts Ignite’s longest running residents, facilitating learning spaces in South Africa, India, and in all five boroughs of New York. Austen is the founder of The Vessel: a movement practice for the creative spirit, which helps artists connect to the creative well of the unconscious. She's a Yoga Alliance certified barre and yoga instructor, and her classes are inspired by the deep dives she discovered through Japanese Butoh, Jungian Dreamwork, and Transcendental Meditation. Her work sets its aperture towards collective liberation.
