The Fyra Team
Lindsay Janisse
Born and raised in Michigan, Lindsay has called New York City home since 2008. A lifelong dancer, she spent 16 years performing on Broadway and on tour, where she developed a deep respect for discipline, embodiment, and the intelligence of the body in motion.
Lindsay is a seasoned movement educator with over a decade of experience teaching yoga, Pilates, strength, and private training. She is a Senior Teacher and Teacher Mentor at Fyra Yoga, where she has taught since 2014, and the founder of GroundWell, a wellness space offering alignment-based, somatically informed training, intentional movement, and immersive retreats designed to help busy humans reconnect, realign, and reset.
In addition to teaching, Lindsay’s work in teacher development and trainings is a core part of her practice, spanning mentorship, curriculum design, and facilitation rooted in both scope and individuality. She has completed her 500-hour Hatha and 100-hour Vinyasa trainings with Modo Yoga, a 75-hour Advanced Training with Dina Tsouluhas and David Testo, and a Yin certification with Kate Kuss. She is also comprehensively trained in mat and equipment Pilates through the Kane School at Kinected NYC and is an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
Her classes are intelligent, creative, and deeply responsive, blending breath, alignment, functional movement, and strength to support greater clarity, capacity, and ease.
